Hi! I'm a graduate of the Human Computer Interaction Design masters program at Indiana University - Bloomington. I have always been motivated by the idea of helping others. My previous training and life experiences have fed into my passion for inclusive design.
Professionally, I have a background in Psychology, Gender Studies, and Counseling. Needless to say I love understanding and helping people. This passion extends to animals as I help my mother with her farm and foster animals whenever I visit.
I believe that design is a cyclical process where every part of the process informs you of what your next step should be.
For me this means, trusting that all steps taken in the process is getting you one step closer to launch, even if it feels like you're taking a step back.
A large portion of my time and perspective comes from my experiences caring and providing for my animals. Over the course of the years, I have had a hand in the care of hundreds of animals. Some of these animals are foster animals who have since found their forever homes, and other are my personal animals. Below are my current personal pets who influence the way I perceive the world.
Hunter is a Beagle Dachshund mix with all the attitude to prove it.
He is currently 9 Years old and has been part of my family since he was 2. Even back them he was the embodiment of a grumpy old man who just wanted cuddles.
Alex is my 14 year old Dachshund. He came to me in his golden years and has been enjoying his retirement.
He spends most of his days finding the comfiest bed and napping while I work nearby. Of course, if I get myself lunch, he immediately perks up in hopes of getting a bite.
